Color me hooded...CPH is done!

And just in time too. There are some autumnal afternoons ahead in dire need of a sweater like this.

medium_CPHback.jpg

medium_CPH_sleeve.jpgI know I have said this before about other FOs, but I really mean it this time...this might be on of my favorite knits ever. Is it its cable-y goodness? Is it the delicious earthy tweed yarn with rainbow flecks? Is it the fact that this is the best seaming job I have done to date? I really can't say...all I know is that this is love.

Here are the stats:

medium_CPHhood.jpgPattern: Central Park Hoodie
Source: knitscene
Yarn: Peace Fleece worsted in grass roots
Size: 36" bust
Mods: There is a button option for the hoodie, but I decided against that. I figured I would wear it open most of the time anyway, so why bother. I think it works.

This was a good little pattern. It was easy, straightforward, and didn't get boring. Actually, it was quite a fast knit. However, I let myself get distracted by work and other things which really slowed down CPH's progress.

PS - It is so frustrating to get an FO pic with decent light when it gets so dark so early. And it's not like I am going to be able to wake up early to take pics. Darn you Daylight Savings Time, darn you!!

yay! it looks so great! i bought knitscene just so i can make that hoodie. it was such a hassel to get the magazine- lord interweave can just never get it right, but i was worth the wait for it, its a good pattern. i am determined to knit it before it gets cool here. that means i have *heaps of time-we only 4 weeks of jacket weather a year ;0)

As you know, I think it looks awesome. I might just have to make one for me-self. The pics turned out nice too. Your photographer must be very proud (and talented!)

Oh my cosh, could you be cuter, Miss Blondie-blonde? The sweater is darling too. That settles it--I'm making one.

I just saw your post on the KAL and the rest of the pics on your blog look great. The hoodie looks fabulous! Where did you get that cute little knitting tee as well?!

Posted by: Meredith | 11/09/2006

You are right, that sweater has "FAVORITE SWEATER" written all over it. I bought Knitscene just for that pattern, but haven't knit it yet. Got distracted with a scarf exchange and requests for sweaters from my daughter for my grandchildren. You've inspired me--I really must search out the right yarn and cast on!

Love the peace fleece...it came out beautiful...inspiring me to finish mine!

Ok you and your sister are annoying me now. How is it both of you have BEAUTIFUL COZY fall sweaters, and I have 2 on the needles and the way it looks it won't be off until NEXT FALL. Wow, your cph looks good. It's on my to knit list, but I won't dare cast on, until I get those other sweaters off.

I love that sweater--I've been looking all over for that issue of KnitScene, but it's been snatched up. Nice shirt too.

Your CPH looks great. Isnt it a great feeling when its finished, and you can finally wear it. I thought the sleeves took forever to knit up though. Your color looks good too, well done.

absolutely stunning. Just found your blog-- was it fun to knit? It's next on my to-do list... after I finish the mountain of christmas gifts!
