Decisions and deliveries...

Lookie what was delivered to my house yesterday...

I was browsing kpixie when I stumbled on this peace fleece worsted yarn in grass roots.

medium_pfcu.jpgIsn't it funny? I have been searching for weeks for the right yarn for the Central Park Hoodie. I kept going back and forth, back and forth...Do I want blue? Do I want teal? Blue is really fun. But teal is really cool. After all that I picked brown. But when the brown has beautiful flecks of reds, greens, and blues, the choice was simple really.

There's a KAL going for this project, so if you are as enamored of this hoodie as I am you should join in on the fun. Click the button in my sidebar for more information.

You'll love the peace fleece! It's a little weird feeling when you knit with it, but then you wash it and it's lovely... so I suggest you wash a swatch because it changes a bit.

Peace Fleece is a fabulous yarn and makes the best sweaters! Make sure you swatch a big enough piece and wash it. It can grow in the finished garment. I knit with it last year and my sweater was HUGE!

Hi,

I wanna make this too, and I lost my dang magazine. I'm giving myself another week to find it, before I go buy another. I've never had a magazine with so many goodies in it as this one. Your yarn choice is a good one!

Ooh, I've been wanting to try Peace Fleece for ages. Please post how well this yarn works out for you! I've considered it for so many projects but have never heard of anyone actually using it!

I haven't tried Peace Fleece yet, but I think it's a fabulous choice for the Central Park Hoodie! I look forward to seeing yours progress! :)

Looks like a great yarn for this sweater. Love the flecs of color in it. I've never knit with this yarn, but have always wanted to. Still trying to decide on a yarn for my hoodie.
